The Man In Black: This Week In Basketball is in San Antonio for Spurs v Kings Filipino Heritage Night Oct 27

Spurs finally won a game against the Flag-less and Irving-less Mavericks. The Mav-Nots put up a fight but our Spurs were able to mount a 4th quarter attack that secured the W.

Final score of the game was 122-106

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Dallas Mavericks 122–106 in Dallas' home opener on October 24, 2026, dropping the Mavs to 1–2.  Victor Wembanyama (23 pts) and Dylan Harper (22 pts) led San Antonio, which erased a 14-point third-quarter deficit with a 17–5 run to open the fourth. Cooper Flagg sat out with a mild left shoulder sprain (suffered Friday vs. Indiana) and Kyrie Irving was rested on the back-to-back for knee injury management. The Spurs' 15 offensive rebounds and 25–10 second-chance-point edge sealed the game, while Dallas' 46 first-half points in the paint set a franchise record since 1997–98.

-------

The Spurs have another chance to get their first HOME win of the season. Having already acheived their first ROAD win at Dallas, Our Men In Black have something to prove as they continue their Race for Seis.

The MiB TWiB and family has taken the flight from California to do a quick visit to SA Town to take in some sights and more importantly, watch the Spurs v Kings. It's also Filipino Heritage Night so we are going to that event as well. As they say in the Philippines, "TAYO NA!"
