Spurs Week 2 vs Raptors, vs Heat, @ Suns - Spurs go 5-0 To Set Franchise Record for Start of The Season...Then Lose Big to The Suns. They Go 2-1 This week and Finish 5-1 through 2 Weeks

THE MAN IN BLACK THIS WEEK IN BASKETBALL

Greetings, Spurs Fans!

Week 2 is 3 Game Slate against the following teams:
 v Toronto Raptors 121-103 Win 102725
 v Miami Heat 107-101 Win 103025
@ Phoenix Suns 118-130 Loss 110225

It is I, Agent T. MIB, here with updates on how our Spurs did in Week 2

Going into this week, despite a long and prestigious history, even during the glory of The Big Three season, the Spurs had never, ever, ever, gone 5-0 to start the season. The media told Victor Wembanyama that, and he opined that this task should be achieved. And then they went out and did just that.

They finished Week 2 with a respectable 2-1 Record. Wembanyama also won Western Conference Player of the Week for his accolades in Week 1. As you can tell by the score above, they did really well against the Raptors, took down the Heat in a hotly contested game, but the fell flat and came down to Earth in losing to the On-Fire Suns.

As I have stated before:
I won't provide too much analysis other than a Game Recap, The Points Created Statistics for Per Minute and Per Game Scores, and The Defensive Ratings numbers for each individual player that played and the team. I will also provide some graphics. Lastly, I will include a YouTube link for highlights for each game.

This season, I have also added a Wingspan Analysis to show fans how large each team's Wingspan Radius looks on the court. Please let me know what you guys think about this feature. Do you like how it looks? Are there other tidbits of information you want, perhaps a different set of players? Are there things you do not understand, like the graphics? Again, please, let The MIB know.

The Toronto Raptors start the week against our Spurs. Led by Scottie Barnes, they come in scoring a lot but come in at 1-2.

As assembled, in terms of Total Wingspan Length, The Starting 5 for Toronto is the shorter Wingspan team. The total wingspan is a combined 35 Feet. 2.75 Inches Feet even. For the Spurs, the starting 5 total wingspan is 35 Feet, 4.25 Inches. They are the lengthier team.

When you are looking at the Points Created Statistic, please pay attention to the Per Minute Scores and Per Game Scores. Please check out the individual Defensive Ratings for each player. There are explanations listed below the Box Score Totals. What you want to see for our team is higher Points Created Scores but LOWER Defensive Ratings.

Here's the recap:
Victor Wembanyama isn't just living up to the hype—he's exceeding it. The phenom delivered another masterclass with 24 points and 15 rebounds as the Spurs dominated the Raptors 121-103, propelling San Antonio to a historic 4-0 start that matches their best ever.

Make no mistake: this is a completely transformed team from last season, when they struggled for weeks to secure four wins. Now, with Stephon Castle (22 points) emerging as a perfect complement and Harrison Barnes (18 points) providing veteran leadership, the Spurs stand on the precipice of their first-ever 5-0 start.

Wembanyama's Western Conference player of the week honor tells only part of the story. His jaw-dropping 360-degree spin move past defenders showcased his unprecedented combination of size and agility, while his near-perfect efficiency (7-of-8 FG, 10-of-10 FT) demonstrates his rapidly developing offensive arsenal.

Despite R.J. Barrett's valiant 25-point effort for the struggling Raptors, Wembanyama's clutch block with 3:59 remaining—his 89th consecutive game with a block, surpassing Patrick Ewing—extinguished Toronto's comeback hopes. Even more telling of the Spurs' bright future: rookie Dylan Harper joined Wembanyama, David Robinson, and Willie Anderson in an exclusive franchise club with his fourth straight double-digit scoring game. The evidence is undeniable: a new Spurs dynasty is taking shape before our eyes.

Coach Erik Spoelstra is the longest-tenured active coach in the NBA. Like former Spurs Coach and Hall of Famer, Gregg Popovich, he has only coached 1 team. His Heat team stood in the way of the Spurs going 5-0.  Despite the stellar effort from big man Bam Adebayo, the Spurs got the W and established a new franchise record for wins to start a season.

As assembled, in terms of Total Wingspan Length, The Starting 5 for Miami, despite having their 3 frontcourt players with a Wingspan at 7 Feet plus, they are still the shorter Wingspan team. The total wingspan is a combined 34 Feet. 7 Inches Feet even. For the Spurs, the starting 5 total wingspan is 35 Feet, 4.25 Inches. They are the lengthier team.

Here's the recap:
Victor Wembanyama didn't just dominate—he made history. His breathtaking 27-point, 18-rebound, 6-assist, 5-block masterclass propelled the Spurs to their first-ever 5-0 start by defeating Miami 107-101 Thursday night. This wasn't merely another win; it represented San Antonio finally breaking through a franchise barrier that only Miami and Sacramento still face. Despite Bam Adebayo's valiant 31-point effort and Miami's short-handed roster mounting a stunning 17-1 fourth-quarter surge, the Spurs showed championship resolve, closing with an 8-3 run when it mattered most. Beyond Wembanyama extending his block streak to 90 games (fourth-longest ever), the victory showcased San Antonio's balanced attack with six double-digit scorers, including Stephon Castle's impressive 21-point performance. As Wembanyama rallied the already-standing crowd in the final seconds, one thing became clear: this Spurs team is making believers out of everyone.

New Coach Jordan Ott has his Phoenix Suns team playing a more team-oriented brand of basketball. Since breaking away from Kevin Durant (Traded to Houston for Dillon Brooks & Jalen Green), waiving Bradley Beal, who is now with the Los Angeles Clippers, The Suns, led by Devin Booker, are off to a slow 2- 3 start. They've brought in Mark Williams and Nick Richards to shore up their frontcourt and even though the Spurs came in undefeated, the left Phoenix in a blowout loss.

As assembled, in terms of Total Wingspan Length, The Starting 5 for  Phoenix is the shorter Wingspan team. The total wingspan is a combined 34
Feet. 8.5 Inches Feet even. Their Center, Mark Williams, has a Wingspan of 7-6.5, which measures well against Victor Wembanyama's 8-0. For the Spurs, the starting 5 total wingspan is 35 Feet, 4.25 Inches. They are the lengthier team.

Here's the recap:
The Phoenix Suns turned the lights out on the Spurs' perfect start Sunday night, raining threes and handing Wembanyama his first taste of defeat this season, 130-118. Booker orchestrated the offensive masterpiece with 28 points and 13 dimes, while the Suns' bench erupted for 50 points. The usually dominant Wembanyama looked mortal for once, managing just 9 points—his lowest total in over a year—while the Suns built a stunning 31-point cushion. Though Castle's 26-point effort sparked a late comeback attempt that trimmed the lead to 14, Phoenix slammed the door with an 11-0 run to secure their first back-to-back wins this season.
