In a dominant performance, Victor Wembanyama scored 30 points and tied his career high with 10 blocks as the San Antonio Spurs cruised to a 114-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night. Wembanyama also added seven rebounds before sitting out the final 8 1/2 minutes of the fourth quarter, as the Spurs secured their largest margin of victory this season.

Wembanyama's historic night made him the first player in NBA history to record a game with at least four 3-pointers and 10 blocks. He also became the first player under 21 to have multiple games with double-digit blocks since the league began tracking the stat in 1974.

Complementing Wembanyama's dominant performance, Charles Bassey contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Devin Vassell added 11 points as the Spurs extended their winning streak against the Trail Blazers to four games.

The victory improved the Spurs' record to 15-13, marking the earliest they've reached 15 wins since the 2021-22 season. In contrast, the Trail Blazers' struggles continued, as they snapped a six-game skid with a narrow win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday but have now lost 9 of their last 11 games.

Shaedon Sharpe led the Trail Blazers with 25 points, while Anfernee Simons added 18 points, but the team struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 12-for-43 from 3-point range.

The key moment came when Wembanyama blocked Deni Avdija's layup attempt with 9:51 remaining in the game, tying his career-high block total. Additionally, Wembanyama continued to etch his name in the record books, becoming the 15th fastest player in league history to reach 200 career 3-pointers, achieving the feat in just 94 games. His streak of 62 consecutive games with a block also surpassed the franchise record set by Hall of Famer David Robinson.

Tyrese Maxey scored 32 points and made two crucial plays in the final minute, rallying the Philadelphia 76ers to a 111-106 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night after Joel Embiid was ejected.

Embiid, a seven-time All-Star, was thrown out by referee Jenna Schroeder with 2:59 left in the second quarter. He received a technical foul for arguing with Schroeder, then was quickly assessed a second technical and ejected, though it was unclear from replays whether he made contact with the official.

Wembanyama had an impressive performance with 26 points, nine rebounds and eight blocks, but Maxey stepped up with a double-double of 10 rebounds and eight assists to go with his 32 points. Paul George added 19 points for Philadelphia.

The Spurs took a 103-102 lead on Chris Paul's baseline jumper with 1:20 left, but Maxey took over from there. He stole the ball, scored on a left-handed dunk and completed a three-point play to put the 76ers ahead 104-103 with 59 seconds remaining. Maxey then drained a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 29 seconds left to seal the victory.

Despite Embiid's ejection, the 76ers were able to rally behind Maxey's heroics. The team is now 3-2 in the five games where Embiid, George and Maxey have started together.

When it gets down to it, the Spurs did not play a full 48 Minutes but when you see that they were more efficient with their Per Minute Scores and even had more output with their Per Game Scores over The 76ers, you can surmise that the Spurs lost a game they should have won. I can't place all the blame on Julian Champagnie because there's many moments in a game that result in a turnover or negative play. He shot 5 for 7 from behind the arc in the 4th quarter, without that output, that game was lost, until it wasn't... and then until it was.

It's a game of mistakes and mistake-free hoops is very hard but those teams that can minimize those mistakes, they win more than they lose.

Spurs are still above .500 at 15-14 and if the season ended today, they'd have a Play-In Spot.
