Game 6 SAS v MIN - Spurs Beat T-Wolves 113-103 For the Spurs - No Pop on the bench but plenty of Pop from Keldon Johnson, CP3, & Jeremy Sochan. For The T-Wolves, Our French guy is better than your French guy.

One would think that the revamped Spurs facing a Western Conference Finalist in The T-Wolves, with Coach Gregg Popovich out due to illness, would be a massive challenge,
The T-Wolves bring back all of their best players from last season except for Karl Anthony-Townes who was traded for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. They still have Anthony Edwards and the reigning Defensive Player of They Year in Rudy Gobert. Going into the game, the T-Wolves were Road Favorites at -3.5
As for the Spurs, Devin Vassell has yet to play a game this season but since he has been practicing, he will soon be available. For the Spurs to play better would require less turnovers and good decision-making and shot selection. For the losses, the Spurs had too many of the bad stuff and not enough good.
Well... throw that out of the window for this game because the Spurs played well. Assistant Coach Mitch Johnson came in and helped guide the team to what bettors thought would be an unlikely victory. Going into tonight's game it's been reported that Coach Pop will miss both the Clippers and Rockets Road Games.

About the game against Minnesota, what went right? Well. How about BALANCE for a start? The starting five players shot a really good percentage for the the starting 5. 52.8% from the Field going 28 of 53 from the field. CP3 the Point God has picked up his play these last couple game and for someone Age 39, he's not playing like it and you have to like the decisions he makes to move the ball. One of the greatest beneficiaries of him at the 1 is Jeremy Sochan. Spurs fans say he should get consideration for Most Improved Player. I do find it unusual for some fans who still think he needs to be offloaded. #UNREAL 17 Points 8.5 Boards, & 3.3 Assists Per Game, thus far, is real production and that time spent at Point Forward has opened up his skill as a Secondary Creator.
Finally, we see Keldon put in solid numbers across the board as a 6th Man. He as the BEST Spur tonight. Highest PC Per Minute and Total Game Scores ahead of Paul, Sochan, and Wembanyama. Was it shot selection or was it the offense changing due to less Back-to-the Basket play? Not sure, but KJ Scored 25 Points off 10 of 17 from the Field shooting .538 overall and shot 3 of 8 from 3. He added 8 Boards and 2 Steals in just 29 Minutes. #SOLID

For the T-Wolves, the best player for them was not Anthony Edwards. It was actually Julius Randle who chipped in 21 and 5 equaling Ant's scoring and rebounding but at better efficiency and output with Points Created. Edwards was held in check by the Spurs Defense. He was defended pretty well throughout facing a rotating core of stoppers who are anchored by the guy with longest wingspan in today's NBA. The Wembanyama Effect is real.
Sochan does such a good job of being a constant irritant that sometimes, the opposition can't take it anymore and then things like this happen. NOTE* Sochan did not back down at all.

Off The Bench, the T-Wolves were led by Donte DiVincenzo who scored 14 Points going 5 of 7 from the field, 3 of 5 from 3. Add okay play from Naz Reid but they couldn't get past our Spurs.
As it stands, the Spurs bench played way better than the T-Wolves Bench. Zach Collins actually scored .846 which gave him a better PC Per Min score than ANY T-Wolf who played at least 10 Minutes. Should he keep doing that, then Collins might get the same type of consideration Spurs fans are finally giving Sochan.
The Spurs are now 3-3 with 76 Games left to go in the season. They face the Kawhi-less Los Angeles Clippers at their brand new Intuit Dome. The Cluppers
