Here is the Game Recap for Game 2:
NBA Game Recap Spurs v Rockets 109-106 W

The Spurs started off like Hot Fish Grease. (That's a Big Shot Rob Reset of when he won Game 5 of the 2007 NBA Finals in Detroit with yet another Big Shot). It was a night to remember. Bill Land was being celebrated as he retired at the end of last season after 21 illustrious years as the Play-By-Play guy next to Sean Elliott. Sean gifted Bill with a #32 Jersey with Land on the top. Bill even guest called with new Play-By-Play guy Jacob Tobey. You can hear the 3 of them in this clip. It's when Wembanyama shows a McHale Up and Under and then dunks it.
Victor Wembanyama Goes Off For 29 Points

In the 2nd Quarter, the Spurs got to eat all they want and the buffett was wide-open. The Rockets struggled hard and had it not been for a late Jalen Green 3 pointer to get it to 10 Points for the 2nd, they would have been a record 7 points as the worst quarter for a Rockets team ever.

It's a tale of 2 Halves. Houston mounted a comeback and just kept pressing. Dillon Brooks and Wembanyama went down to the ground fighting for possesion of the ball and it seemed to ingite the Rockets and they just kept coming until the final horn sounded. It's a W for our team in Silver and Black. San Antonio Fans, we'll take it!
Spurs v Rockets An Altercation

For the Spurs, they were led by Victor Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan. They combined for 46 Points and 19 Rebounds. Due to a Ankle injury, Tre Jones didn't play which opened up more minutes for Stephon Castle and while his Points Created Efficiency was horrible, his clutch FT's late were huge. This is one of those times where numbers don't say what happened accurately.
Malakai Branham continues to provide solid bench minutes and what we saw from Castle is a promise of what this young and confident player will become as he finds his NBA Ninja Way.

For the Rockets, they were led by Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. Got some help from Fred VanVleet and made a game that looked over into one that could have gone to OT. With as gassed as Wembanyama looked, we should all be so glad that our guys held on.
