ESPN Box Scores were used for Points Created - https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore/_/gameId/401468217
Johnson .576 19.000 He led the team in points.
Poeltl .638 18.500 He led the team in rebounds.
Jones .394 13.000
Richardson .667 22.000 Offensively, provided what Devin does, defensively, not so much. He also led team in assists.
Bench
Roby .200 2.000
Collins .618 10.500 He was pretty efficient. I am curious as to why Pop didn't try to matchup BIG using Collins and Poeltl against Gobert and Towns.
McDermott .604 14.500 He provided lots of offense, but defense... not so much.
Bates-Diop 1.000 15.000 15 Minutes on the court, 15 points.
Dieng 1.250 2.500
Langford .156 2.500 He was Primo-Lite and played at a relatively LOW efficiency. It's still good for him to get game reps but when you watch him, you wonder why he was a lottery pick. Have to add that defensively, he seems engaged. Sadly, Points Created isn't really good at tracking Position Defense. Against Edwards, he made him work...some.
Spurs .525 126.00
Timberwolves .652 156.500
Timberwolves Starters
McDaniels .729 25.500 He upped his output to All-Star levels in this one.
Edwards .829 31.500 Beyond Efficient and started early
Gobert .400 14.000
Towns .671 25.500 Efficient
Russell .397 11.500
Bench
Prince .342 6.500
Reid 1.200 6.000
McLaughlin .579 11.000
Nowell 1.136 25.000 <- This guy was on fire the entire time he played.
Minnesota started hot with Anthony Edwards. Perhaps when KAT called him out for his eating habits, Edwards wanted to show what YOUTH can bring. The fact that the Spurs team lost by only 12 points shows some fight. However, to come back requires scores and stops. The scoring was there, the stops were not. In the end, it's tough to win without one of your key primary players on the road. But the young Spurs battled. They will the see theTimberwolves again real soon, but next time, in San Antonio.
